Time + Mindfulness

Since becoming a mom of two I have found myself thinking a lot more about my time. It seems like I have so little of it. I try to be very intentional with how I spend my spare minutes, but somedays I am better at it then others. It is always evolving the more I pay attention. If I only have 1 hour a day to myself, do I really want to be spending it moving stuff from one room to another? Do I want to be mindlessly scrolling on my phone? Do I want to be reading a book? Do I want to be moving my body? Maybe these seem like obvious do or don't do examples, but how you spend your time is going to look different for everybody. It will probably even change day to day.

If you start to pay attention, you might start to notice that while some things fill you up, others deplete you. While some activities give you energy, other activities take it away.

The great thing is that once you start to become aware of how you are spending your time and how that activity makes you feel, you have the power to change it.

My challenge to you:
Pay attention to how you are spending your down time. Notice how you feel not only while doing it, but after as well.
